Pray. Vote. Stand. These three verbs serve as both points of action and reflection for Christians in our time. The challenges in our culture make clear the need for us to pray for our nation, to vote whenever we have opportunity, and to stand upon biblical truth in a land where the ground seems always to be slipping away. Toward this end, Family Research Council and FRC Action are holding the first-ever Pray Vote Stand Summit in 2021. For the past 15 years, FRC and FRCA held the annual Values Voter Summit which served as a forum to help inform and mobilize citizens across America to preserve our bedrock values. The Pray Vote Stand Summit builds upon the success of the Values Voter Summit and brings with it a sharper focus upon the true source of our strength as we lay a solid biblical foundation in order to build a worldview through which we can accurately understand and act upon current events and issues.

Recent years have seen an accelerated assault on not just important beliefs, but the very foundation those beliefs are based on. As opposition to biblical truth has become increasingly public and pronounced, it is essential that we keep mounting pressure from eroding our foundation and pushing us away from the God who gives us strength. The inaugural PVS Summit will take place at Cornerstone Chapel in Loudoun County, Virginia. We want to prayerfully equip and encourage Christians in light of today’s issues related to faith, family, and freedom, to impact our families, churches, communities, and nation from a biblical worldview. We plan to address issues such as protecting the unborn, the importance of the nuclear family, domestic and international religious liberty, developments in our nation’s education system, and others.

As we delve into topics like this, we want to develop our worldview and lay solid foundations. According to George Barna, 51 percent of American adults believe they have a biblical worldview, but only 6 percent actually do. “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3). We also want to help believers understand what is truly going on in our culture today and steps we can take to be problem-solvers. We are bombarded with opinions from all sides, and it is often difficult to discern what is really happening and how to make a difference. We want to develop an “…understanding of the times, to know what [we] ought to do” (I Chronicles 12:32).
